QUOTABLE
"Overall it was a very good weekend of racing," said UC San Diego head coach
Colin Truex. "We had some excellent results yesterday and demonstrated the improving depth of our program. The 2V8 and V4 races against Sacramento State were incredible and were probably our most impressive of the weekend.
"The V8 looked dominate early yesterday [Saturday] but struggled to find its rhythm against Sacramento State in the second round. Today's racing against Kansas State showed that we still have a long way to go when we line up against some of the deeper, more well-resourced programs from the Power 5 conferences but I am confident that we can get there."
"We are looking forward to a day of rest before we get to Spring Break training and the always exciting San Diego Crew Classic."
UP NEXT
UC San Diego will compete in the San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay. The two day event will take place March 26 and 27 and spectators will be able to watch the races from Crown Point Shores staging and finish line areas.
