ELKHART, Ind. – UC San Diego closed out day one of the CSCAA National Invitational Championships in Elkhart, Ind. with both Triton teams in 6th place overall. Including prelims, the Tritons posted 21 team best times on day one of the invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED
On the women's side, the 400 yard medley relay team of
Teagan Monroe,
Katja Pavicevic,
Jordan Phillips, and
Miranda Renner, broke the team record and finished second overall with a time of 3:37.98. Renner and Phillips joined
Tina Reuter and
Brittney Miles in the 200 yard freestyle relay to take first place with a time of 1:30.90.

Nate Cunnan,
Andrija Petkovic,
Ryan Kirton, and
Spencer Daily took second in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:18.84. In the 500 yard freestyle,
Ivan Kurakin placed third overall after heading into the event as the top seed with a team record of 4:19.83.
