Tritons Win on the Road at UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. – UC San Diego took the road win over UC Davis in a Saturday matinee matchup with a final result of 1-0.

The Tritons move to 8-7-2 overall and 4-4 in The Big West while the Aggies move to 4-7-4 overall and 3-2-2 in The Big West.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Davis kept the Tritons locked down in the first half by allowing zero shots from UC San Diego. The Tritons were able to earn two corner kicks but were unable to convert. The Aggies took five shots with none on frame as Dominic Peters came off the line multiple times to disrupt UC Davis' chances.

In the second 45, the Tritons struck first with a goal from Carter Jacobus in the 57th minute on a pass from Max Carvalho. The pass came from the center as Carvalho navigated around the Aggies' defense. Jacobus flew down the left field line to take the through ball and sent it into the opposite side of the net with his left foot.

Adam Walker held the line with Peters in the second half, clearing one critical cross with a diving header and stopping a shot at the goal line as the Aggies looked to equalize in the final minutes of the match.
