After the Bulldogs earned a win at No. 2 doubles, the Tritons evened the score with a 6-2 victory at No. 3 by
Anu Bhadada and
Rachel Wagner. Fresno State took the doubles point with a hard-fought 6-4 (3) win at No. 1 doubles to go up 1-0 in the match.

In singles play, Fresno State won all six positions, but several were tightly contested. Junior
Sophie Pearson lost 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1. Playing in her first collegiate match, freshman
Adriana Tabares battled at fifth singles, falling 6-4, 2-6, 6-10. The final match of the day, No. 2 singles, was won by the Bulldogs' Matilde Magrini. She out-lasted sophomore
Ella Pachl, 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.
