UC San Diego Alum Travis Miller Awarded CSCAA Honor

LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego alumnus Travis Miller '94 was recognized in the College of Swimming and Diving Coaches Association's list of the 100 Greatest Men's Swimmers and Divers.

To celebrate CSCAA's 100th year as the nation's first college coaches' organization, they constructed a list of the top 100 greatest college swimmers and divers. Out of 973 finalists drawn from nearly three thousand nominations, Miller secured one of the 100 selections.

During his four years at UC San Diego, Miller built a very impressive resume. The swimmer was awarded fourteen NCAA Division III national championships over four years which is the most held NCAA championships by any UC San Diego scholar-athlete. In his last two seasons with the Tritons, he was also recognized as Division III Swimmer. The decorated swimmer entered the UC San Diego Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013 and still holds the current school record for the 200 backstrokes.
