LA JOLLA, Calif.—The UC San Diego women's swimming and diving team earned a 158.5-127.5 victory over UC Davis on Saturday afternoon at Canyonview Aquatic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The women swept four events on the day including the 1650-, 500- and 200-yard freestyle, and the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Tritons took first and second in the 400-yard medley relay to start the day, with times of 3:50.71 and 3:52.18. The top squad consisted of
Alana Barthel,
Miranda Renner,
Lexi DePaco and
Tina Reuter, while the second-place team was
Mackenzie Lee,
Katja Pavicevic,
Jordan Phillips and
Sophie Francis.Â

Several Tritons recorded B-cut times, including both
Juli Arzave (17:06.52) and
Ellie Whitney (17:29.38) in the 1650-yard freestyle. Phillips placed first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.51 and Pavicevic earned first-place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.58.

Arzave took first in both of her events, winning the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.41), while Pavicevic also placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.40).Â

Barthel added to her win total for the day with a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.77), while DePaco took the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.89).
Ciara Franke earned victories in the 200- and 100-yard freestyle (1:53.68 and 52.02) and
Brittney Miles took the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.04.

UP NEXT
The Triton men and women will compete against UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. (PT) to wrap up a stretch of three-straight meets at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
