LA JOLLA, Calif. – The University of California San Diego had 10 scholar-athletes earn a spot on the 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Winter All-Academic Team. The conference announced its honorees on Wednesday.
The CCAA recognizes individuals academically each season (fall, winter and spring) for all conference-sponsored sports. In order to earn CCAA All-Academic team honors, a scholar-athlete must be of sophomore athletic standing or higher, and own a 3.3 cumulative GPA or better while competing in a conference-sponsored sport for that season. The CCAA Winter All-Academic Team consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in the sports of men's and women's basketball.
A total of 99 men and women from across the CCAA's 13 member institutions were acknowledged for their efforts in the classroom.
The Tritons' total of 10 honorees was tied for the third most in the conference, trailing only Cal State East Bay (14) and Cal State San Marcos (11). UC San Diego's recipients are as follows:
