WAIMEA, Hawai'i – The University of California San Diego women's tennis team fell by a 4-0 score to eighth-ranked Hawai'i Pacific on Friday afternoon at the Fairmont Orchid on Hawai'i island. The Tritons dropped to 0-3 on the season, while the Sharks improved to 1-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons duo of senior captain Becky Chou and freshman Rachel Wagner earned a 7-6 victory at No. 1 doubles, but the Sharks took the other two doubles showdowns to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
In singles play, Chou held a lead at No. 1 singles (1-6, 7-5, 4-3) and sophomore Anu Bhadada was up 6-4, 5-2 at No. 6 when the Sharks won their third singles match of the day to clinch the victory.

"This was a hard-fought match against a tough opponent," said UC San Diego coach Liz LaPlante. "It was a great win for us at No. 1 doubles."
