CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of California San Diego women's tennis team fell 7-0 at CMS in its season opener Saturday afternoon. Ranked second nationally at the NCAA Division III level, the Athenas won their 30th straight home match and improved to 3-0 on the season. The Tritons are 0-1.

Valeria Corral was leading 6-1, 5-2 at No. 4 singles but she was forced to retire due to injury. The Tritons dropped the other singles matches in straight sets as the Athenas earned the shutout.
