Hadley Pours in Personal-Best 25, Tritons Win 12th Straight

LA JOLLA, Calif. – Fourth-ranked UC San Diego continued to roll, knocking off visiting Humboldt State, 85-63, on Thursday night at RIMAC Arena. UC San Diego is 20-1 overall (14-1 California Collegiate Athletic Association), while the Lumberjacks fell to 7-13 overall and 3-12 in CCAA play.

With 7:08 on the clock, junior guard Mikey Howell found senior forward Scott Everman who buried his third triple of the night. That put UC San Diego in front, 24-23. Late in the half, Hadley went on a 12-4 run on his own as the Tritons took a 42-38 lead. Howell added a reverse layup as time expired, and UC San Diego led 44-38 at halftime.

Hadley was the game's leading scorer, dropping 18 points in the first half on 7-10 shooting (4-7 3FG). Everman added nine, and junior forward Marek Sullivan scored six and matched his career high with five assists. The Tritons shot 51% in the first half overall and 8-of-17 from beyond the arc.

Up four early in the second, UC San Diego went on an 11-1 run to take a 57-43 lead with 15:05 left. The Tritons never looked back from there.

Three UC San Diego players finished in double figures, led by Hadley's 25-point effort. Sophomore guard Tyrell Roberts contributed 17 and Everman scored 11 with four assists. Senior forward Christian Oshita scored nine and grabbed nine rebounds in the win.

UC San Diego sank 15 three-pointers on the night, including five from Hadley and three from Roberts. The Tritons were credited with 21 assists on 32 field goals, and they out-rebounded the Lumberjacks, 41-33.
