BRIDGEPORT, Pa – Senior captain Skyler Munatones was named the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Division II Player of the Year. Jack Turner and Connor Turnbow-Lindenstadt were also named First Team All-Americans. Head Coach Denny Harper was named the ACWPC Coach of the Year for the ninth year in a row and 17^th time overall.
 
Munatones earns All-American recognition for the second year in a row, being named to the First Team in 2018. He was named to the Western Water Polo Association Second Team this season and earned a spot on the All-WWPA Tournament First Team. Munatones led the team with 58 assists and will graduate second in career assists with 162.
 
In his 40^th year at the helm for the Tritons, Harper and the Tritons continued their standard of excellence. UC San Diego won 20 games in 2019 and had back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since the 2005 and 2006 season. Ten of their victories came against teams ranked in the top 20 at the end of the season and another five victories came against teams receiving votes.
 
Turner earned All-American recognition for the third time in his career. He was named to the Western Water Polo Association First Team the past two seasons and was the ACWPC Division II All-America Player of the Year in 2018. He will graduate ranking second in career saves with 1,025.
 
Turnbow-Lindenstadt also earned All-American honors for a third time. The junior finished the season with a team high 63 goals and was second in points with 95 points.
 
UC San Diego finished the season ranked 12^th by the College Water Polo Association. The Tritons went 20-8 and played for the WWPA championship for the ninth year in a row.
 
The Tritons wrapped up their final season of Division II. During their time as a Division II team, the Tritons had numerous players earn Division II All-American honors and featured the Player of the Year 16 times. Men's water polo will remain eligible for NCAA championship competition during the transition to Division I.
