LA JOLLA, Calif. – The No. 11 UC San Diego men's water polo team heads to Riverside with one goal: a Western Water Polo Association Championship. The Tritons look to reclaim their WWPA crown from last season and claim back-to-back titles for the first time since the 2014 and 2015 season.

SEASON RECAP
The Tritons enter the tournament 18-7 overall and 6-1 in the WWPA. All seven loses on the season have come at the hands of ranked opponents and five of them were by two or fewer goals. Munatones has been one of the best offensive playmakers for the Tritons and leads the team with 51 assists and 95 points.
TOURNAMENT PATH
The Tritons enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will play No. 7 seed Air Force on November 22 at 1 p.m. If UC San Diego wins, they will take on the winner of No. 3 Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara the following day at 4:30 p.m. For more info on the tournament schedule, click

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
UC San Diego is searching for its 20
th WWPA title in program history. Over the past six years, the Tritons have won four titles. UC Davis won the other two titles. Last season, the Tritons defeated UC Davis 11-10 in the championship game.
Jack Turner was named the WWPA All-Tournament Team MVP.
WWPA ALL-CONFERENCE
Six athletes were placed on All-WWPA teams.

Calder Hilde-Jones were named to Second Team,
Cooper Milton received honorable mention and
Kaden Likins was named to the All-Freshman Team.

UP NEXT
If the Tritons win the championship, they will earn the conference's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament. The Tritons will find out dates and seeding on November 24 after the conclusion of the other conference tournaments.
