UC SAN DIEGO, VIASAT LAUNCH ONLINE STREAMING PARTNERSHIP
UC San Diego Athletics has partnered with local broadband services and technology giant ViaSat to create UCSDtritons.tv, an online streaming platform. The channel will carry all Triton home basketball, volleyball and water polo games, a majority of baseball and softball contests, and a selection of home events featuring virtually all of UCSD's 23 intercollegiate sports. All broadcasts will be live, in high definition, and can be viewed for the first time from smartphones and tablets alongside desktop and laptop computers. Viewing is subscription-based. A comprehensive package with access to all streamed events through the end of the current academic year is available for $29.99. A single-match pay-per-view option can also be purchased for $5.99.

ALL-CONFERENCE RETURNERS
Three of the Tritons' returning starters - senior forward Drew Dyer, junior guard Adam Klie and senior guard/forward Hunter Walker - were named All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Second Team performers last season. Walker led UCSD in scoring at 12.3 points/game with Klie just behind at 12.2. Walker totaled a team-high 54 assists and Klie led all Tritons with 28 steals. Dyer averaged 11.4 points and held an .857 free throw percentage.

WEEKLY REWIND
UC San Diego split its CCAA games last week at home, dropping a 77-71 decision against No. 9 Chico State before defeating Stanislaus State by a score of 70-55. It was the only time the Tritons will face either team during the regular season.

CLINCHED x 2!
The UC San Diego men have clinched a berth, as well as a first round home game, in the upcoming eight-team CCAA Tournament. Chico State, Cal Poly Pomona and Humboldt State are also in. All remaining league teams except for Cal State San Marcos (ineligible) are still alive for a spot. The tourney will see first round games hosted by the top four seeds on March 1. The semifinals and the championship game will be played at Stockton Arena in Stockton, March 4-5.

WINNING!
UCSD's victory against Stanislaus State on Feb. 13 was its 19th of the year, setting a new mark for single season wins during the team's Division II era (since the 2000-01 season). The program record is 23 (23-4 in 1990-91), when the team was a Division III member. It was also the Tritons' 14th CCAA win, equaling their all-time high, set last season.

MCMILLAN RETURNS
Senior center Zach McMillan made his return to the Triton lineup on Feb. 12 at home against Chico State. McMillan missed 11 consecutive games due to injury and had not played since Dec. 20. He totaled seven points, four rebounds, three blocks, an assist and a steal during 20 minutes of play versus the Wildcats.

KLIE NEARING 1,000 CAREER POINTS
Entering Thursday's game, junior guard Adam Klie has amassed 904 career points. If Klie hits the milestone, he'll be the 14th Triton all-time and fifth in UCSD's Division II history to do so. In addition, he'll be the second Triton this season to accomplish the feat as Drew Dyer eclipsed 1,000 career points on Jan. 1.

DYER FOR THREE
Drew Dyer has made 66 three pointers so far this season, just nine short of taking over UCSD's Division II single season record. Robby Peters made 74 treys over 27 games during the 2006-07 season. The school's all-time single season mark is 83 by Erik Johnson in 1993-94. Career-wise, Dyer has 213 threes, which ranks second in the team's history behind Peters' 254.

OLEN ROLLIN'
Head coach Eric Olen recorded his 50th UC San Diego victory on Feb. 13 against Stanislaus State. Entering this week's game, Olen is 50-26 (.658) over his two-plus seasons at the helm of the program.

KLIE TABBED ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT AGAIN
For the second consecutive year, Adam Klie has been named an Academic All-District 8 First Team selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Klie is one of five NCAA Division II players and the lone student-athlete from the CCAA to be named Academic All-District 8. Academically, Klie holds a 4.00 cumulative GPA as a bioengineering major at Revelle College. Through 21 games this season, the junior guard is averaging 14.0 points while leading UCSD with 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.8 steals per game. Klie is shooting 52.6 percent (113-215) from the field and has shot over 60 percent nine times. He has three double-doubles to his name. Among CCAA players, Klie ranks third in field goal percentage (.513), sixth in assists (3.5), 13th in scoring (13.6) and 14th in rebounding (5.7) in league games. Klie will now be placed on the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Those selections will be revealed on Wednesday, March 2. In addition to earning Academic All-District accolades in 2015, Klie was a CCAA All-Academic awardee in 2014 and 2015. He is also a 2015 All-CCAA Second Team member and the 2014 CCAA Freshman of the Year.

DYER MAKER
Drew Dyer is putting up some crazy shooting numbers. He is 48-89 (.539) on two-pointers and 66-134 (.493) from behind the three-point line. You read that correctly. Dyer has made 66 threes compared to 48 twos and has taken 134 threes compared to 89 twos. His three-point field goal percentage ranks fifth in the country. Dyer has netted at least one trey in 22 of 23 games, his only bagel coming against Chico State on Feb. 12 (0-2). He has hit multiple threes 19 times and three or more 13 times.

U-C-S-DEFENSE
Through 23 contests, UC San Diego leads the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense (26.9), is second in field goal percentage defense (37.7) and third in scoring defense (60.0). The Tritons have held opponents to 50 or fewer points five times, including a season-low 35 at Cal Poly Pomona on Jan. 30. Only four times has UCSD given up 70 or more points. Humboldt State scored 82 on Jan. 1 in La Jolla, the highest total by any Triton opponent this season.

NO ERROR IN THIS MARGIN
UCSD is defeating opponents by an average of 11.3 points/game, which ranks 20th nationally. Only six of the team's victories have come by less than 10 points. The Tritons' 40-point (76-36) win at Notre Dame de Namur on Nov. 28 was the team's largest winning margin since defeating UC Merced by 59 (92-33) in December of 2013.

POLL POSITION
In the most recent NABC national poll (2/16), UC San Diego fell seven spots from an all-time high of No. 6 to No. 13. The top five remained the same, including No. 1 Western Oregon, No. 2 Wheeling Jesuit and No. 3 West Liberty. Chico State moved up a spot to No. 8, while Cal Poly Pomona fell six slots to No. 20. Prior to this season, the Tritons had never been nationally-ranked as an NCAA Division II team.

POLL POSITION II
The Tritons fell seven spots to No. 14 in the Feb. 16 D2SIDA media poll. Western Oregon remained in the top position, followed by Wheeling Jesuit in No. 2. Augustana and Lincoln Memorial are tied for third. Chico State is up to No. 10 (T-14 last week) and Cal Poly Pomona is still receiving votes.

POLL POSITION III
The NCAA released its first regional rankings on Feb. 17 and the Tritons are fourth in the West Region. The top 10 teams in the West, in order, are Western Oregon, Seattle Pacific, Chico State, UCSD, California Baptist, Cal Poly Pomona, Azusa Pacific, Alaska Anchorage, Humboldt State and Dixie State.

TAKING DOWN NUMBER FOUR
UC San Diego defeated fourth-ranked California Baptist, 76-67, on Nov. 24 in La Jolla. The last time the Tritons beat a higher nationally-ranked team was back in 2006 when they downed No. 2 Montevallo, 61-60, in Las Vegas.

THAT'S A LOT OF SPIRIT
A total of 3,924 fans turned out for Spirit Night at RIMAC Arena on Jan. 22, setting a UC San Diego record for attendance at a men's basketball game. The previous high was 3,906 on Spirit Night in 2008.

DYER 1k
Senior forward Drew Dyer scored 14 points against Humboldt State on Jan. 1 to put him over 1,000 points for his career. He is the 13th Triton all-time and the fourth in the program's DII history to hit the mark. The last player to do so was James McCann, who totaled 1,339 points between 2010 and 2014.

FOUR ON THE FLOOR
In one of the most unique victories in college basketball history, UC San Diego defeated league rival Cal State San Marcos, 69-65, with just four players on the floor for the final 14 seconds of the game on Dec. 20. When Drew Dyer became the fourth Triton to foul out of the game, UCSD did not have an available substitute due to various injuries and redshirts. The Cougars couldn't capitalize on their power play, missing four free throws down the stretch.

KLIE NAMED CCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
UC San Diego junior guard Adam Klie was named the CCAA Player of the Week on Feb. 2. Klie averaged 10.5 points and a team-high seven rebounds per game over two huge CCAA wins on the road. At No. 13 Cal Poly Pomona, Klie recorded his third double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, both game-highs. He also added two assists and two steals in the 41-35 victory. At Humboldt State, the Anchorage, Alaska, native totaled nine points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist, helping the Tritons to a 73-69 win.

ANOTHER BIG AWARD FOR KLIE
Adam Klie was selected as a Star of the Month for January by the San Diego Hall of Champions. Klie averaged 14.5 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds to help the 10th-ranked Tritons to an 8-2 record over the month. He also led the team with 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Klie made exactly 50 percent of his shots, draining 57 of 114 attempts. The junior guard recorded three double-doubles, most recently with 12 points and 10 rebounds in a huge league win at 13th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona on Jan. 30. He tallied 15 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and a career-best seven assists in a 72-69 home defeat of CPP earlier in the month when the Broncos were ranked fifth nationally. Klie hit double-digit point totals in nine of 10 games.

DYER A DECEMBER STAR
The San Diego Hall of Champions named Drew Dyer a Star of the Month for December. He averaged team-high 16.6 points over five games, helping the Tritons to a 4-1 record and a No. 11 national ranking. The senior forward shot .510 (26-51) overall, .500 (14-28) from behind the three-point line and a team-best .850 (17-20) from the charity stripe. Dyer also pulled down 5.0 rebounds per game. He totaled 19 points against third-ranked Western Oregon and again versus CCAA rival Cal State San Marcos.

DYER NAMED CCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Drew Dyer was named the CCAA Player of the Week on Nov. 24. He shot 55 percent (12-22) from the field and drained eight of 13 three-pointers to lead UC San Diego to a pair of victories the week prior. In an 86-74 win against No. 10 Colorado School of Mines, Dyer finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, both game-highs. He was 4-for-6 from behind the arc. He then had 16 points and netted four treys as the Tritons defeated Winona State, 77-60. For the week, Dyer led UCSD in points (35), points/game (17.5), field goal percentage and three-pointers made and was tied for the team lead in rebounds (10) and rebounds/game (5.0).

TRITONS SIGN 6-7 FORWARD SCOTT EVERMAN
The UC San Diego men's basketball team received a commitment from six-foot-seven forward Scott Everman to play for the Tritons next season during the NCAA's early signing period. Currently a senior at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, Everman was named First Team All-Channel League and First Team All-City as a junior. He averaged 15 points and seven rebounds, leading the Royals to a 21-10 record. Everman earned MVP honors at the 2014 Jim Bashore Holiday Cage Classic.

2014-15 AT A GLANCE
UC San Diego went 16-11 overall and 14-8 in the CCAA, placing fifth and earning a berth in the conference tournament. The 14 league victories were the most since the Tritons joined the CCAA for the 2000-01 season. In addition, the team's 16 wins were the most since its 2008-09 campaign. A six-game win streak in January equaled UCSD's longest since becoming an NCAA Division II team for the 2000-01 season. UC San Diego held opponents to 61.5 points/game, the sixth-best scoring defense in the country. The Tritons kept a tight grip on the basketball, turning it over just 291 times, the fourth-fewest giveaways in the country. At 10.8 turnovers/game, UCSD ranked 14th nationally.

HEAD COACH ERIC OLEN
Eric Olen is in his third season in charge of the UC San Diego men's basketball team. He holds a 31-22 (.585) overall record and a 25-19 (.568) CCAA mark through his first two campaigns. Olen had previously served nine seasons as a Triton assistant before being named the program's 12th head coach on Oct. 1, 2013. He joined the Tritons as a second assistant for the 2004-05 season and was promoted to first assistant the next year. Olen was on the bench during the 2007-08 campaign when UCSD won its first CCAA tournament title and earned its first berth in the NCAA Division II Championship. As a player at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., Olen helped the Badgers to three straight appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, including trips to the NAIA Elite Eight in 2000 and 2001.

ABOUT CAL STATE SAN MARCOS
The Cougars come into Thursday's game at 13-10 overall and 9-7 in the CCAA, good for fifth place. Still in an NCAA Division II transition period, CSUSM is not eligible for postseason play. Losers of four of their last five league games, the Cougars downed Life Pacific, 79-49, in a non-conference affair Monday. Darnell Taylor is averaging 17.9 points/game overall and 18.5 in CCAA games, second among all league players. Three others are putting up at least 10 points/game including Taran Brown (12.5), Akachi Okugo (11.5) and Andrew Bournes (10.0). Declan Daly is hauling down 9.0 rebounds/game and leads the CCAA at 8.8. As a team, Cal State San Marcos averages a league-best 4.3 blocks/game.

THE SERIES
Thursday's game will be just the second-ever meeting between the Tritons and Cougars. Back on Dec. 20 at RIMAC Arena, UCSD held on for a 69-65 victory, despite finishing the game with just four players on the floor due to foul-outs, injuries and redshirts. UC San Diego went short-handed for the final 14 seconds when Drew Dyer was charged with his fifth personal foul and the Tritons had no players to replace him. Dyer finished with 19 points and Chris Hansen totaled 13. For San Marcos, Darnell Taylor netted 26 points and added 10 rebounds, both game-highs. Each team shot under 40 percent, with UCSD at 39.2 and CSUSM at 35.6.
