SAN DIEGO - Heading across town to take on San Diego State Sunday, the UC San Diego women's tennis team fell by a score of 6-1 to the Aztecs.

With its fourth straight loss, UCSD dropped to 8-16 overall. SDSU improved to 10-11.

The Aztecs swept all three doubles matches to take the point. At No. 1, Dora Somoracz and Hailey Johnson defeated Paula Chou and Kyra Scott, 8-6.

SDSU won the remaining two doubles contests in shutout fashion.

The Tritons' lone win of the day came at No. 4 singles as Tara Vanooteghem dispatched Kennedy Davis, 6-4, 2-6 and 15-13.

The other five singles tilts went to San Diego State in straight sets.

No. 17 UCSD concludes its regular season at home against Cal State Stanislaus on Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m.
