Transportation Information

The San Diego International Airport is conveniently located approximately 14 miles away from the site of competition.  Surrounding the airport are several businesses that offer rental cars.  For a complete list of those businesses please click here.

DIRECTIONS:           

Upon Arrival: On Friday, teams may call the UCSD Cross Country Office 858-534-0328 to pick up your parking permit.  Parking permits are required Monday thru Friday only.  CA State government vehicles and buses are exempt from the parking fee.

From Interstate-15 heading South:

§  Follow signs to 56 West.

§  Take 56 West to 1nterstate-5 South.

§  Follow directions below:

From Interstate-5 heading North or South:

§  From Interstate-5 (North or South), Exit Genesee Ave.

§  Head west on Genesee.

§  Turn left on North Torrey Pines Rd.

§  Turn left at the next signal (Northpoint Drive - UCSD North Campus Entrance).

Once on campus, follow these directions for the Spanos Parking Loop (refer to map on page 4):

§  After turning left onto Northpoint Drive go through two stop signs.  Take first left.  You may park in any green "B" spots at the Spanos Parking Loop.

§  Parking spots will be reserved for participants and officials at the Spanos Parking Loop for Friday and Saturday, however, spots are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis.

ADDITIONAL PARKING:                       

From Interstate-15 heading South:

§  Follow signs to 56 West.

§  Take 56 West to Interstate-5 South.

§  Follow directions below:

From Interstate-5 heading North or South:

§  From Interstate-5 (North or South), Exit Genesee Ave.

§  Head west on Genesee.

§  Turn left on North Torrey Pines Rd.

§  Turn left at the next signal (Northpoint Drive - UCSD North Campus Entrance).

For Hopkins Parking Structure

§  After turning left onto Northpoint Drive continue through two stop signs, as the road curves to the right it becomes John Hopkins Drive.

§  Drive past the RIMAC Athletic Fields, the Hopkins Parking Structure will eventually be on your right.

§  Parking permit must be displayed (M-F only) unless you are in a CA State government vehicle. 

For Rady School Parking Lot

§  After turning left onto Northpoint Drive, go through one stop sign and on to a second stop sign.  At the second stop sign, take a right onto Scholars Drive North (refer to map below).  The parking lot will be on your left.

§  Parking permit must be displayed (M-F only) unless you are in a CA State government vehicle.

OVERSIZED VEHICLE PARKING:   Vehicles over 7'2" need to find parking alongside RIMAC Arena
