Jordan Lawley Named To All-CCAA First Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - After a tremendous senior campaign in which he led the California Collegiate Athletic Association in scoring, UC San Diego guard Jordan Lawley was named to the All-CCAA First Team that was announced on Tuesday.

Lawley averaged career-highs of 20.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists for a Triton squad that finished with an overall record of 8-17 in 2009-10 and a 7-15 mark in conference play. He led UCSD in several major categories during the season, including scoring, assists, steals, and minutes per game.

"Jordan had a fantastic season for us," head coach Chris Carlson said. "He did everything we could have asked of him this year and really carried us at times. He is very deserving of this honor and I'm happy to have coached him for the last three years of his career."

A native of Lodi, Calif., Lawley became the first Triton to lead the conference in scoring since UCSD joined the CCAA prior to the 2000-01 season. He was the Tritons' top scorer 19 times in 25 games this season and posted 13 games with 20 points or more.

One of the best scorers the program has ever seen, Lawley graduates as UCSD's all-time leading scorer at the Division II level with 1,398 points, while also ranking first in career field goals (440), field goal attempts (1,045), free throws (389), and free throw attempts (514).
