LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC San Diego fencing team hosted UC Irvine and Cal Tech on Saturday, recording wins against both opponents.  The UCSD women earned a 25-2 win against UC Irvine and went 23-4 against Cal Tech.  The Triton men recorded 21 wins with six losses against both opposing schools.

Both men's foil and women's epee squads were undefeated on the day, leading their respective teams to the dominating victory. UCSD was equally impressive against UC Irvine and Cal Tech earlier this season, again sweeping the competition against both schools, with the Triton men going 27-0 against Cal Tech and picked up a 19-8 win over UCI, while the women were 23-4 against Cal Tech and 25-2 when matched with the Anteaters.

UCSD closes out their conference schedule on February 20 in Irvine, looking to claim conference titles for both the men and women's teams.
