LA JOLLA, Calif. ? The UC San Diego women's tennis extended their overall winning streak to five games and their California Collegiate Athletic Association streak to 56 on Saturday with a 9-0 win over Cal State San Bernardino.  Roxy Pourmirzaie and Lauren Saket posted the largest victories of the day, winning 6-1 in the first set and 6-0 in the second set from the second and sixth singles seeds, respectively.  UCSD record now improves to 7-2 overall, 6-0 in the CCAA.

Anita Athavale and Natalie Varnay teamed up for an 8-2 win at the top doubles spot.  Ina Dan then joined forces with Katie Mulloy for an 8-1 victory at No. 2, while the tandem of Tessa Tran and Valerie Tang at No. 3 won 8-3.

Mulloy was the only Triton pulling double duty in both singles and doubles competition, winning from the top spot 6-4, 6-4.  Rina Nakano was the only UCSD athlete to go three sets, winning after a 6-2 first set, 6-7 second set, and 11-9 in the decisive third.  Krystal Mitzuguchi and Samantha Yeung allowed only two points total at No. 5 and No. 6, as Mitzuguchi won 6-1, 6-1 and Yeung posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

The Tritons finish up their weekend stretch against Hawaii Hilo on Sunday, with an 11 a.m. scheduled start on the Northview Tennis Courts.
