LA JOLLA, Calif. ? The 21st-ranked UC San Diego women's volleyball team fell to 2nd-ranked Cal State San Bernardino 30-16, 30-22, 30-28 on Friday night in RIMAC Arena.  The Coyotes took control early, hitting at a .333 clip in game one.  CSUSB outhit the Tritons .239 - .075.  The Tritons were paced by Rebecca Bailey's 11 kills, while Casey Wilson chipped in with nine.  Natalie Facchini led four Tritons in double figures in digs with 15.  Down 2-0, UCSD did not give up and took its first lead of the match in the third game.  The Tritons led by as many as three points, but the Coyotes were too tough in the end.  With the loss, UCSD drops to 8-5, 2-3 CCAA, while the Coyotes improve to 12-1, 4-0 CCAA.

In game one, the Tritons were held to a -.089 attack percentage as the Coyotes used a late run to seal the game.  With CSUSB ahead 14-12, the Coyotes scored 16 of the next 20 points to cruise to the win.

In game two, UCSD trailed 6-5, but CSUSB went on a 10-5 run to open up a 16-10 advantage.  CSUSB would lead by as many as 10 points, while the Tritons could pull no closer than five.

Game three consisted of four ties and two lead changes as the Tritons led 10-7 after a CSUSB attack error.  The Coyotes scored six straight to take a three point lead.  The teams would tie for the final time at 15-15, before the Coyotes recorded a kill and an ace to take the lead.  With the Coyotes leading 27-21, UCSD gave it one last run, pulling within 28-27 and 29-28 on a series of kills.  CSUSB put the game away on its first match point by a kill by Sharea Drawn. 

Jessica Granados and Jane Chafeh led the Coyotes with 12 kills apiece.  Drawn added 11.

UCSD is back in action Saturday night when it hosts Cal Poly Pomona.  First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
