SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The 5th-ranked UC San Diego men's water polo team continued its solid play with a 12-10 victory over 8th-ranked Long Beach State and a 16-6 win over 20th-ranked UC Santa Cruz at the UCSC Slugfest on Sunday. With the wins, the Tritons improve to 16-2. Brandon Borso paced the Tritons with five goals in the two games. Jonathan Hopkins and Ty Lackey also tallied multiple goals in each game. Against LBSU, the Tritons scored six times in the first period and held on for the win. Against UCSC, the Tritons cruised as Borso, Lackey and Hopkins led the Triton scoring.

UCSD is back in action with a rematch against Long Beach State on Saturday, October 1 at 6:00 pm in Canyonview Pool.
