Yazil Aquino '19 began working for UC San Diego Athletics in April 2025 as a fiscal specialist. Prior to joining the Athletics staff, Aquino served as an office coordinator for HDH Facilities & Building Services across campus. In that role, she was responsible for maintenance, repair, and operations procurement, reviewing service agreements, and heavily focused on building and maintaining strong relationships between vendors and UC San Diego.
A native of South Los Angeles, Aquino is a Triton through and through, earning a bachelors in cognitive science (with a specialization in clinical aspects) and a minor in business from UC San Diego. As a student, Aquino worked for HDH, continuing with HDH dining until 2022.
