Nick Maranda joined JMI Sports as its Vice President of Partnerships in June 2023 following four years as Vice President of Partnerships with San Diego Loyal Soccer Club of the United Soccer League.

A graduate of San Diego State University, Maranda earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 2003. While in college, he served as a sports writer for the Daily Aztec and a sports coordinator at East County Family YMCA.

in 2005, Maranda joined the San Diego Padres as a supervisor in season ticket services and was promoted to manager of membership services in 2011. He spent a year as director of Petco Park Events before moving into a role as manager of partnership services for the Padres. Prior to joining Loyal, he served as director marketing-partnership for San Diego Zoo Global.
