2025-26 will be Meriah Earle's fourth season as an assistant coach for the UC San Diego cross country and track and field programs.
Prior to joining the UC San Diego coaching staff, Earle served simultaneously as a volunteer coach at Cal State San Marcos and an assistant coach at Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad. During her tenure at Pacific Ridge, she helped lead the Firebirds' boys and girls cross country teams to both qualify for CIF State Championship meets, coaching a pair of freshmen to top-10 finishes in 2019. She also helped the Firebirds' track team earn a CIF State Championship appearance, coaching multiple athletes to All-CIF honors.
Earle ran both cross country and track at San Diego State, graduating in 2001 with a degree in biology. In recent years, she has trained herself to run marathons, qualifying for both the 2020 and the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials in the event.
