Caitlin Lowe serves as Associate Director of Athletics, Scholar-Athlete Academic Success at UC San Diego, a role she assumed in the fall of 2024. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the academic advising unit and continues her responsibilities as sport administrator for the Triton men’s and women’s volleyball programs.
Lowe first joined UC San Diego Athletics in July 2022 as Associate Athletic Director for Sport Administration, working closely with coaches and scholar-athletes as the sport administrator for men’s and women’s rowing, men’s and women’s volleyball, and men’s golf.
Prior to arriving at UC San Diego, Lowe served as Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Saint Mary’s College of California. She also held roles at Diablo Valley College as Sports Information Director, Adjunct Professor, and Student-Athlete Success Coordinator.
Before transitioning into athletic administration in 2018, Lowe began her career as a college softball coach. In 2013, Lowe was named the head softball coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology, a Division III program in Boston, Mass., and later transitioned to the California Community College level, where she was honored as the 3C2A NFCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2017.
A 2012 graduate of Curry College in Milton, Mass., where she was a member of the softball team, Lowe earned a Master of Education from UMass Boston in 2014 and a master’s degree in kinesiology and sport studies from Saint Mary’s College of California.
She currently resides in Laguna Niguel with her wife, Lindsay, and daughter, Eliana.
