In October 2020, Brian Alexander, MA CMPC joined UC San Diego as a mental skills coach with the Athletics Performance Unit.
 
Alexander’s experience includes co-founding WellU LLC, a mental training app and podcast. He is responsible for creating video, audio and form fill content to educate and train athletes.
 
In addition, Alexander serves as an adjunct faculty member and professor in sports psychology at both National University and John F. Kennedy University.
 
Since 2016, he has worked as the official athlete mental skills coach for the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program.
 
Alexander also operates his own private practice as a mental skills coach, consulting and working with teams at the youth, high school, collegiate and national levels to help build cultures of excellence.
 
Alexander was an alternate athlete on both the 2008 and 2012 USA Men’s Water Polo Olympic Team.
 
He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Santa Barbara in 2005 and earned his master’s in sport psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2015.
