Bill Cohn was named an assistant coach with the UC San Diego men's golf team prior to the 2023-24 season.
No stranger to UC San Diego Athletics, Cohn has served as the public address announcer and Voice of the Tritons for basketball, volleyball, and water polo since the early 1990's.
He was as an assistant women's water polo coach at San Diego State from 2014-2019.
Cohn has been an avid golfer since 1988, playing in amateur tournaments across Southern California. He finished second in the 2019 San Diego City Amateur (Senior Division) and won the match play club championship at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in 2022. He plays on the senior golf team at Lomas Santa Fe, which won the Golden Seniors championship in 2019 and again in 2023.
Cohn spent over 30 years (1981-2013) in the high technology space as an account manager and sales director working for Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, Intel, and Oracle.Â
Cohn played water polo and JV basketball at UCLA, where he earned a degree in Economics.
His son Michael graduated with honors from UC San Diego in 2017 and earned All-America distinction all three seasons he swam for the Tritons, earning two Elite 90 awards in 2016 and 2017.
