Abigail Bomba joined the UC San Diego Athletics Department in May 2022 as a Compliance Assistant and returned to the department in October 2024 as an Assistant Director of Compliance.

A 1998 graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., Bomba earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology. She was a student-athlete on the softball team and continues to rank among the program's top 10 in career batting average.

Upon graduation, she attended Rutgers School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor in 2003. She worked as an Associate for eight years, then advanced to Partner for seven years at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York City.

In 2020, Bomba earned a Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California.
