AS A JUNIOR IN 2004: Started in all 18 matches she played in, missing only the Cal State Stanislaus match on October 17 due to injury... earned first team All-CCAA honors and second team All-NSCAA West Region honors... anchored a defense that outscored its opponents by a 41-14 margin in the matches she played in... took only one shot on the year.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2003: Started in all 22 matches for the Tritons... notched one assist which came in the 14-0 win over Grand Canyon at home on November 1... guided the UCSD defense that posted a 0.93 goals-against average as a team.. only allowed 21 goals in the 22 matches... directed the defense to nine shutouts.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2002: Named the CCAA Freshman of the Year... started all 19 matches... anchored a defense that allowed only 12 goals and posted a 0.68 goals-against average.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of nearby Scripps Ranch High School... played soccer for coach Larry Pernicano... also lettered in volleyball... helped team to the 1999 CIF Championship... earned All-CIF, All-Western League and All-Academic honors while at Scripps Ranch.

PERSONAL: Born September 22, 1983 in San Diego, Calif... parents are Larry and Marsha Szafraniec... has one younger brother named Brandon... is a Human Development major in Marshall College.
