Kelly Mayo begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the UCSD women’s soccer team. A senior and Human Biology major in Revelle College, Mayo’s playing career as a Triton was cut short due to injury.

Mayo will assist with all aspects of the program including on-field coaching, budgets, camps and travel.

During her three seasons as a midfielder for UCSD she played in 57 games, tallying five goals and five assists. Four of her five scores proved to be game-winning goals.

A graduate of Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, Calif., Mayo led the school’s soccer squad to the North County Section Championship in 2005 after a semifinals appearance in 2004.
