High School: A 2009 graduate of Mount Carmel High School in San Diego, Calif... competed for SPARTAK from 2005 to 2009, placing in many local competitions en route to advancing to nationals.

Personal: Born Dec. 10, 1990... parents are Slong and May Yu, both of whom attended San Diego State... has a younger sister named Andrea... aspires to become an officer in the Marines and eventually work as a laywer or government contractor... enjoys running and fishing in his free time... favorite athlete is the late Pat Tillman... favorite pro sports team is the San Diego Chargers.
