Miranda Seto enters her third season as a coach with UC San Diego in 2026-27, serving as assistant coach for the Tritons.
In her first season as assistant coach, Seto helped the Tritons to a historic run in the 2024-25 Big West Championship, earning the program's first NCAA Division I Tournament berth. UC San Diego became the first school in history to have both its men's and women's basketball teams qualify for the NCAA Tournament in their first season of eligibility.
The Tritons repeated the following year, also earning a share of the 2025-26 regular season title. The Tritons were the second team in NCAA Division I women's basketball to make the tournament in their first two seasons of postseason eligibility after reclassifying from Division II.
Prior to UC San Diego, Seto served as an assistant at her alma mater Pinewood School and Fever Club Basketball in Los Altos, Calif.
The 2024-25 season marked a return to La Jolla for Seto, who was a member of the Triton women’s basketball program from 2011 to 2015. As a senior, Seto was named All-CCAA Honorable Mention and earned first-team accolades as a junior. She was also a three-time CCAA All-Academic honoree for the Tritons.
A native of Redwood City, Calif., Seto prepped at Pinewood School in Los Altos, where she was a four-year starter on the basketball team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in human development from UC San Diego in 2015 and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from San Jose State in 2020.
