Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Placed second in the Shot Put at the CCAA Championships with a distance of 15.41m, the third best mark in school history.
PRIOR TO ATTENDING UCSD: Participated in track and field at Santa Rose Junior College under coaches Ron Whitney, Pat Ryan, and throwing coach Jan Desoto.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park, Calif... participated in football and wrestling, in addition to track and field during high school... helped football team to NCS 3A Championship in 2001 and 2002, while team went undefeated in 2002 season... recorded statistical best of 50’6.5” in the shot put event and 131’6” in discus... a 2004 BVC Conference Champion for shot-put... All-Conference BVC in 2004 and Second-Team All-BVC in 2005 for shot put.
PERSONAL: Born January 12, 1985... parents are Michael and Carol Morilla... has a younger sister named Mary... a Communications major in Muir College... aspires for a career in sports marketing.
