AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Mark of 10’.75” in pole vault good for fourth overall at CCAA Championships… Tied for fourth in pole vault at All-Cal Championships and again finished fourth in the event… Third-place finisher in Mangrum Invitational as part of pole vault event… Top-20 finish with 10’8” final in pole vault as part of Long Beach Invitational.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Placed fifth in the Pole Vault at the CCAA Championship with a height of 3.46M... At the UCSD Triton Invitational tied for sixth in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.51M... Placed ninth in the Pole Vault at the San Diego City Championship with a height of 3.30M... Eighth place finish in the Pole Vault at the All-Cal Challenge Cup... Tied for second place in the Pole Vault at the Rossi Relays with a height of 3.20M.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Tied for 4th in pole vault event with height of 10’ during the All-Cal Championships... tied for 6th in pole vault at San Diego City Championships with height of 11’1.75... recorded 2nd place finish and 11’5” height in pole vault at UCSD Divisional Challenge... again tied for 6th in pole vault and recorded career-best and 6th best UCSD mark all-time of 11’5.75” during UCLA Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersey Invitational... finished 10th in pole vault event with height of 10’10.25” during CCAA Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, Calif... statistical best of 12’3” in the pole vault event during high school competition... finished 6th in the 2006 State Meet... helped team to 3rd place finish at the Sunset League Finals... member of the Higher Flyers who competed at the Reno Pole Vault Summit in 2005 and 2006... tied for 7th place at the 2006 Pole Vault Summit... personal best of 12’3” in competition... competed at Level 10 gymnastics for 4 years with the Scats Gymnastics, finishing 7th all-around at 2002 State Meet.

PERSONAL: Born March 14, 1988... parents are Jim and Jan Tamura... has an older brother named Evan... Evan is a member of the UCSD men’s track and field and cross country teams... is a Human Biology major in John Muir College... interests include movies, music, working out, and the guitar... aspires to become a sports therapist.
