Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2010: Earned fifth place in two events at the CCAA Championships posting a mark of 14'3" in the pole vault and a time of 55.71 in the 400 hurdles... Registered a third place time of 55.10 in the long hurdles and a cleared 14'3" in the pole vault for fourth during the San Diego Collegiate Championships.
ORANGE COAST COLLEGE: Competed for track and field team
under coach John Knox… Achieved statistical bests of 54.4 in the 400 hurdles
and 14’6” in the pole vault… Orange Coast Invitational Champion in the 400
hurdles.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Laguna Beach High School in
Laguna Beach, Calif… 2006 Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Athlete… Also
Orange County Champion in the 300 hurdles in 2006, CIF Division 4 Champion in
the 110 hurdles in 2005 and PCL Champion in the 300 hurdles and 110 hurdles in
2005 and 2006… Captain of the short distance team and team’s most valuable
athlete… top times of 14.8 in the 110 hurdles and 38.6 in the 300 hurdles,
along with distance of 21’ in the long jump.
PERSONAL: Born September 6, 1988… Parents are Justice and
Clementina Rovin… has a younger brother named Evan… Economics major and
Mathematics minor in Roosevelt College… Hobbies include kite surfing,
gymnastics, martial arts, computers, skimboarding, and surfing.
