A 2011 graduate from Winthrop High School in Winthrop, Mass. ... Named NEC All-Star as a sophomore, junior and senior with the Vikings (2009-11) ... Was NEC Scholastic All-Star during senior year (2011) ... Varsity team captain ... Had a personal-best height of 5'8" in the high jump at the NEC League Meet, where he finished fifth overall as a senior (2011) ... Runner-up in the long jump with a personal best of 20'4.25" at the NEC League Meet during senior year (2011) ... Leaped 39'2" in the triple jump during the Massachusetts (MIAA) Eastern Division 4 Outdoor Championships to take 12th place overall and set a WHS record as a junior (2010) ... Earned eighth-place showing in the 400m at the 2011 Massachusetts (MIAA) Eastern D-4 Outdoor Championships as a result of a personal-best and school-record time of 53.77 ... Also competed in soccer.
