Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2010: Earned a third place finish at the CCAA Championships in the hammer throw with a mark of 161'8"... Finished second in the hammer with a 149'6" toss during the San Diego Collegiate Championships... Took fourth place in the same event during the Tritons' season opening meet.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009: Throws of 145’1” in hammer throw and
85’7” in discus good for eighth and 16th, respectively during CCAA
Championships… Finished tenth in hammer throw just outside top ten with mark of
129’4” during All-Cal Championships… Third in hammer throw and fourth-place
finisher during San Diego City Championships in discus.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: Placed 35th in the Shot Put at the UCSD Triton Invitational with a distance of 11.88M, and 57th in the Discus Throw, 40.93M... Placed fourth in the Hammer Throw and seventh in the Discus at the San Diego City Championships... At the All-Cal Challenge Cup finished 10th in the Hammer Throw and 13th in the Discus... Placed 16th in the Discus Throw and 24th in the Hammer Throw at the Rossi Relays... Finished sixth in the Discus Throw and eighth in the Shot Put at the UCSD Divisional Challenge.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, Calif... Participated in football and track and field... Recorded statistical bests of 49’2” in shot put and 155’11” in discus... Helped football team to 28-2 record during high school career and Division I playoffs as a senior... Selected as a member of the All-CIF team... Part of Key Club, National Honor Society, and CSF.
PERSONAL: Born November 27, 1988... Parents are Jason Jackson and Tara Porst... Has three younger siblings named Wyatt, Taylor, and Natalie... A Physiology and Neuroscience major in Revelle College... Hopes to become a doctor.
