AS A JUNIOR IN 2006: Received All-CCAA Second-Team recognition after finishing 2nd in the hammer throw at the CCAA Championships with a distance of 154’11”... finished 1st in the hammer throw at the All-Cal Championships with a distance of 149’9”... finished the season as the #7 hammer thrower in UCSD history.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005: Recorded seasonal best for UCSD in the hammer throw with a distance of 141’ 9” at the Pomona-Pitzer meet.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Independence High School in San Jose, Calif... recorded statistical bests of 136’6” in the discus and 34’9” in the shot put events.
PERSONAL: Born October 18, 1985... parents are Thomas and Madeline Becker... both parents attended San Jose State University... has two brothers named Mark and Michael... is an Applied Mathematics major in Thurgood Marshall College... aspires to be a High School mathematics teacher and track coach... enjoys cooking, being outdoors, sewing, and taking care of dogs in her spare time.
