AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Javelin Champion at the San Diego City Championships with a distance of 51.91M...At the All-Cal Challenge Cup placed first in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 55.70M... Placed seventh in the Javelin Throw at the Cal-Nevada Championships... Javelin Champion at the Rossi Relays with a distance of 57.92M... Placed fifth in the Javelin Throw at the UCSD Divisional Challenge... His throw of 190'0" placed him second all-time at UCSD.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Finished 5th with a distance of 163’2” in the javelin throw during the All-Cal Championships... finished 2nd in the javelin during the San Diego City Championships with a throw of 163’1”... recorded 5th place javelin finish during the UCSD Divisional Challenge with distance of 150’10”... throw of 168’4” during the javelin event at the CCAA Championships earned 6th place finish... season-best 170’4” in the javelin was second among Tritons in the event.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Had the third-best mark in the javelin throw for the Tritons in 2006 with a season-best 153’0.50”.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Calif. High school best of 45’11” in the shot put... also played football in high school and was part of CIF Division II runners-up in junior and senior years... played baseball from 1993 through 2003 and was part of a championship team in 1995... also played soccer from 1993-2000 and basketball from 1996-2003.
PERSONAL: Born July 5, 1987... parents are Jon and Julie Macks... Jon is a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has also written for the Academy Awards and the Emmy Awards....has two younger siblings named Samantha and Richard... is a Human Biology major at Thurgood Marshall College... hopes to work in the fitness industry.
