Creed Stary begins his third year as an assistant coach with the UC San Diego program in 2007.

Stary is no stranger to UC San Diego track and field; he is the current UC San Diego school record holder in the pole vault as well as an NCAA All-American in 1997. Stary is a 1997 graduate of UC San Diego with degrees in animal physiology, neuroscience and psychology. He is currently a medical student in UC San Diego’s prestigious medical school. Stary’s first year with the coaching staff at UC San Diego brought immediate success with a new school record in the women’s pole vault.
