AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Appeared in four games with two at-bats... made five putouts from the catcher position.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lincoln HS where the baseball team went 20-10 and advanced to the SJAA playoffs... during his sophomore and junior seasons, baseball team made it to the D-I section finals and were SJAA champions... as a senior, earned second-team All-SJAA honors.

PERSONAL: Born June 4, 1987... parents are Jim and Peggy Matusek... has an older sister named Alexis... a Communications major in Marshall College... hobbies include watching and playing all sports and spending time with friends.
