HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Eastlake High School in Chula
Vista, Calif... Helped the Titans win
the Mesa League crown in 2009 ... Also competed on the cross-country team at EHS, finishing ninth at the 2010 Mesa League Championships,
earning all-league honors for her efforts... Led the Titans to
back-to-back league titles as a junior and senior... Was named the MVP
of her squad in 2010... Recorded a personal best of 5:18 in the mile.
PERSONAL: Born March 21, 1993 in San Diego... Parents are
Jorge de Jesus Gonzalez and Maria Evelina Garduño... Has an older sister
named Evelyn and a younger sister named Paola... Roots for the San
Diego Padres... Step Brothers is among her favorite flicks... The Black
Keys are playing on the iPod at the moment... Sushi is her favorite food
and she enjoys frozen yogurt much more than ice cream... Her father and
her high school coach are among her biggest influences... Can be found
baking, swimming, biking or hanging out at the beach in her spare
time... Is a Psychology major in Muir College.
