Biography

Nikki Palmer begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Tritons in 2008 after spending the previous four years as a letterwinning catcher on the UCSD softball team. She was brought on by head coach Patti Gerckens in the spring of 2008 and will assist with all aspects of the program.

During her playing days at UCSD, Palmer started in 146 of the 158 games she played in. She collected 63 hits in her career, 13 of which went for extra bases. Palmer also drew 38 walks during her time as a Triton.

She graduated in June of 2007 from UC San Diego, where she was a double major in Sociology and Communications.
