Biography

AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Was one of three UCSD players to start all 62 games during the '07 campaign... earned Second Team All-CCAA honors... batted .275 while leading the team with her 12 home runs and 50 RBI... the 12 home runs set a new single-season mark at UCSD, besting her own record of seven from the 2006 season... drove in 50, which also set a new single-season record at UCSD, surpassing the previous mark of 40 that was held by Erin Bridges (1997) and Pam Hardaway (1985)... her sixth home run of the year, which came in a loss to Point Loma on February 28, gave her the all-time home run record at UCSD (19)... moved into fourth place on the all-time RBI list as her 50 in '07 moved her career total up to 93... had nine multi-hit games en route to 49 hits on the season, tied for the third most on the squad... notched 14 multi-RBI games, including two contests with four runs batted in... had 69 assists and 100 putouts from her position at third base.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Started all 48 of the games she played in, minding the hot corner at third base... batted .291 on the year with seven doubles, one triple and a team-leading seven home runs... drove in 27 runs, which was tied for the team lead... had 37 his in 127 at-bats... had 10 multi-hit games, including two with three hits... went 3-for-3 with a run scored, a home run and two RBI in the loss at home to Division I opponent San Diego on February 22... went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run and two RBI in the 10-8 victory at home over Sonoma State on May 5... all seven dingers came in seven different games... was 5-for-6 in stolen base attempts... led the team in walks with 15... ranks in the top-3 in career home runs at UCSD with 13 through her first two years.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Started 32 of the 37 games she played in as a rookie... batted .222 with three doubles, 16 RBI and a team-leading six home runs... posted the third highest single season total in UCSD softball history with her six dingers... moved into sixth place on the all-time career home run list at UCSD... went 1-for-1 with three runs scored and a grand slam in the 11-0 win over Cal State Bakersfield at home on April 9... went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI that came on two home runs in the 6-5 win over Cal State San Bernardino at home on April 29.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of San Clemente High School in San Clemente, Calif... played softball for coaches Bill Everhart, Amanda Peterson and Tod Henry... was a four-year varsity starter and a four-year Scholar-Athlete Award winner... was a two-time All-South Coast League performer... was a team captain as a senior... batted .325 with four home runs and 16 RBI as a junior... was a Dana Point Ocean Institute volunteer... was on the Superintendent and Principal’s Honor Roll all four years

PERSONAL: Born December 24, 1985 in Mission Viejo, Calif... parents are John and Deborah Maze... has one younger brother named Chris... is a Cognitive Science major at Muir College... enjoys the beach, being outdoors and camping in her spare time.
