Washington comes to La Jolla from Cal State Fullerton where she served as a volunteer assistant pitching coach for nearly two years with the Titans (2019-20). In her first year a part of the staff at Fullerton, Washington contributed to the team’s fourth-straight regular season Big West Title.

A native of Inglewood, Washington extends her pitching instruction to the On Deck Batting Cages in Signal Hill, leading both individual and group sessions to help develop the skill set of youth athletes.  From 2018-20, she worked at the Major League Baseball Youth Academy in Compton, in which she continued to apply her pitching insight and give back to the community.

Throughout her playing career, Washington spent time at two notable institutions: Boise State (2017) and Cal State Fullerton (2014-16).

Washington transferred to Boise State for her senior season and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication. She left a mark on the Broncos’ softball record books. The left-handed pitcher is currently listed first for most shutouts (5) and third for most wins (16) in the program’s single season history.

Upon guiding Boise State to its first post-season appearance in 2017, she earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award. She also recorded the first perfect game in Boise State history. Off the field, Washington received the Simplot Award recognizing her exceptional efforts in the classroom and across the community.

As a Titan, Washington was named to the Big West Conference All-Freshman Team during her rookie campaign. She appeared in 36 games, 17 which she started, and compiled a record of 12-6 in the circle. She held a team-best ERA of 3.56 with four complete games and 55 strikeouts. Washington acquired a Big West Conference Championship for Fullerton in 2016, this time as a player.
