Biography

As a Sophomore in 2009: Did not register playing time in 2009.

As a Redshirt Freshman in 2008: Earned his first minutes as a Triton  off the bench in the midfield on Sept. 14 in a 2-1 road win against Cal State Monterey Bay... played 10 minutes at his normal position, goalkeeper, to close out a 5-0 victory at home over Seattle Pacific on Oct. 25.

As a Freshman in 2007: Redshirted his freshman season.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif… helped soccer team to an 18-3-2 record, earning Baseline League Championship honors during his senior season… team was ranked No. 10 in the CIF Southern Section in 2006-07… a three time All-Baseline League honoree.

Personal: Born Feb. 2, 1989... parents are James McDowell and Carla Haupt… has a sister, Amber… twin brother, Aaron, also plays soccer for UCSD… is a Management Science major and Psychology minor at Marshall College... aspires to get an MBA and start his own company.
