Brett Jones returned to the UC San Diego men's soccer program as an assistant coach in 2024.
The 2020 UC San Diego graduate and All-American returned to the program with two seasons of professional play under his belt with Chattanooga FC and multiple years of coaching experience. During his time in Tennessee, Jones coached multiple academy teams and was the assistant varsity coach for Baylor School. The former Triton became UC San Diego's first All-American selection since 2015 and was named First Team All-West before he graduated with a degree in International Business. Continuing his pursuit of coaching at the highest level, the alum earned his US Soccer National "D" license in February 2024 and his US Soccer National "C" license in November 2024.
Jones hails from Mission Viejo, California, and graduated from Laguna Hills High before attending UC San Diego and Oregon State.
