Entering her third season as an assistant coach with UCSD’s cross country programs is another former Triton in Lindsay Stalker.

Stalker returns to the sidelines after two very successful campaigns the last two years, including a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championships for both programs in her first season in 2007.

A native of Corona, Calif., Stalker was a four-year letterwinner at UCSD from 2001-04. She earned All-CCAA honors after finishing with a personal best time of 22:24 at the conference championships in 2003, helping the team to a second place finish overall. As a senior, Stalker had an impressive showing at the D-II West Regional, leading the squad to a second place finish after posting a time of 23:43. She earned All-West Region recognition for her performance and the Tritons advanced to the National Championships in Evansville, Ind., where they finished 17th.

Stalker was also a two-time All-American in track and field in the 800m and 1500m. She graduated from UCSD in 2005 with a degree in human development.
