AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005: Appeared in only one match during the season, taking one shot in the 1-0 loss at Cal State L.A. on September 13.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004: Started one of the three matches he appeared in during inaugural campaign... made first career appearance in team’s 2-0 season-opening win over Grand Canyon... also appeared in the team’s 2-1 win over San Francisco State on October 3... first career start came in team’s 3-0 loss at Cal State Monterey Bay on October 10... did not take any shots on the year.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Helix High School in La Mesa, Calif... lettered in football, baseball and soccer... earned All-Grossmont League first team honors... was a second team all-league performer in baseball.

PERSONAL: Born August 16, 1986 in La Mesa, Calif... parents are Mario Alcantar and Maryann Alcantar... has three older siblings named Marco, Michelle and Catherine... is a Computer Engineering major in Muir College... enjoys computers, games and technology in his spare time.
