AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Played in nine of UCSD’s matches... earned the starting nod at home against Cal State Marcos on Sept. 21, a 3-2 loss... registered his first two collegiate shots during a 1-1 draw at home against Cal State Stanislaus on Oct. 21.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of North Hollywood High School... did not play soccer while in high school.

PERSONAL: Born April 25, 1986 in Esbjerg, Denmark... parents are Seyed and Mariam Shams... has a younger brother named Mussa... is a Political Science major at Muir College while minoring in Biology and Psychology... enjoys surfing in his spare time... aspires to be a high-profile lawyer.
