AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009-10: Played 16 rounds during six events in 2009-10, finishing with an average round of 79.4... Recorded a season-low round of 74 during the rain-shortened first-day of the Sonoma State Invitational in Santa Rosa, following that up with a round two 75 and 5-over total of 149 for the tournament... Helped the Tritons to an eighth place finish out of 17 competing teams at the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational with a final round score of 75... Matched his season-low of 74 during the second round of the CCAA Championships at the Hunter Ranch Golf Course in Paso Robles, before recording UCSD's best final round at 76 to finish with an 11-over, 227 and a share of 25th place.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008-09:  Finished with a 252 total after rounds of 78, 91, and 83 during his first collegiate competition at the Southern California Intercollegiate… Shot a season-low round of 72 during the first round of the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational… Posted his best three-round total of the year at the CCAA Championships, finishing with rounds of 76, 73, and 78 for an 11-over 227.

HIGH SCHOOL:  A 2008 graduate of  Foothill High School in Pleasanton, Calif.... Recipient of team’s Most Improved Award in 2006... Placed third at the 2008 North Coast Section Championship... His team won the 2006 and 2007 Bay Cities Championships... A 2008 all-league honoree, placing third in the North Coast Sectional that year.

PERSONAL:  Born on January 3, 1990... Parents are Joseph and Jeanne Gabbert... Roots for the Indianapolis Colts and his favorite athlete, Tiger Woods… Enjoys spending time with friends and participating in all recreational sports when he's not golfing... Is majoring in Communications at Thurgood Marshall College... Plans on pursing a career in business marketing.
